Quicksand use proven method of floor sanding and floor restoration that will leave your floor neat and tidy with a smooth proffesional finish.

We commence by sanding down all of the exsisting floor by using five grades of abrasive belts decreasing in coarseness upon each sand.

When we have achieved a perfectly fine finish we would then apply the stain (if required),followed by 2 to 3 coats (depending on which the customers preference is,i.e oil wax or seal).

This will be buffed after each application to ensure no undulations occur on the surface.

What we do to Restore your wooden flooring

All flooring can be filled depending on the age and the condition of the floor in the first place.

The traditional method is to mass fill a floor in which we take the clean dust from the floor and mix it with a oil based resin. Once the resin is to the density needed we use a flat trowel to fill all gaps and can be used on parquet,herringbone,and strip,and original floor boards although with floor boards we recommend the gaps be no bigger than 2 to 3 mm as the filler can fall through after a certain amount of time.

If you are just worried about drafts on floor boards quicksand also supply and fit a clear plastic transparent strip which is fitted between floor boards and is invisible to the eye.
