This job was a newly laid oak strip floor that had been laid but finished in an unprofessional way.
Quicksand often find that they are called when someone tries to finish a floor with no experience in doing so and the end result can often be rough and grainy with marks due to lack of knowledge on application or buffing in between each coat.
We were asked to come to this job to evaluate what needed doing and unfortunately it was not just the finishing that was done in an unprofessional way, it was also the sanding.
We priced for a complete re-sand and suggested the floor was oiled with a natural osmo floor oil and this was agreed.
The customer was happy with our finish and has gone on to recommend us to other friends and associates.
